Good day

Welcome to another edition of our newsletter. This time it is to announce a couple of much needed tutorials to assist you in managing your website.

Using the XMS Systems WYSIWIG editor
Whether you are creating or updating pages on your website or creating articles or blog entries you will be using the integrated editor in your website. With this article we aim to discuss all the different icons and their functions. We touched on working with tables and links, including using "anchors" that you can use to build an index if you have a long page or article. Read the article here

Embed Youtube Video's into your content
With the increase in popularity of Youtube more and more video's are uploaded and you might ultimately find a video that you want to integrate into your website or one of your articles. With this step-by-step instructions you never again have to ask XMS Systems support to help you out with this. With a bit of ingnuity you might even be able to get a live video stream into your website like in this example on our development website

Embed Facebook Images into your content
By this time everyone knows the power of using facebook as a marketing tool to keep in touch with your customers and fan base. That usually includes having to upload images to facebook and then uploading the same images to your website to use in a page or article. Wouldn't it be a lot easier if I can show you how to upload your imatges to facebook and use them in your website without having to upload them again? Well read this article here and see if you can make it work.

Using the XMS Systems Remote File Explorer
As you are all aware I upgraded the "Remote File Explorer" in XMS Systems during the recent upgrade. In this article we take a look at the functionality that is build into the "Remote File Explorer" as well as discuss the folder structure and different access to the folder structur depending on where you are in the website. We also touch on basic image management to avoid things getting messy and you not knowing where to find what image.

New Developement
As always we are busy with developing new modules for XMS Systems to improve your site visitors experience and your website functionality.

Buy and Sell Module
The Buy and sell module has finally been released and made it's way into your XMS Systems Installations. Your site members can now upload anything as "For Sale" or "Wanted". You define the expiration dates for each type of ad. The Member can. You can see a demonstration here on our development website.

Discount Vouchers
An exciting module that is currently under BETA testing is the Discount Vouchers Module. With this module you can get local businesses to work with you to offer discounts on their products. You will define the different outlets, products and number of vouchers available. Site visitors can then "claim" a voucher and print it to present to the outlet. On the voucher is a QR code that the shop can scan to validate the voucher and a URL where they can validate the voucher manually. A voucher can only be used once and within the valid date ranges. See a demonstration here

PDF Printouts of your articles
The ability of printing out articles in PFD format is under development. This will be handy in cases where you use the article module as a training tool. Site members can easily print the article and read it at a later stage.

Examinations Module
We are in the planning stages of implementing an examination module that we initially developed for an on-line gaming community and later used in a production website. In combination with the article module this will be a powerful tool as you will be able to provide "in house" training to your staff or provide on-line training courses.
