Deleting your old schedules and bookings in the XMS Systems Scheduler and Bookings Module

Periodic maintenance needs to be done in order to keep your scheduler working effectively.

One of the things getting old and outdated quickly is your scheduler.

If you have an active scheduler or booking systems it is a good idea to periodically look at the old historic entries in your scheduler. It might not be always a good idea to remove old historic entries for various reasons. However if you don’t have any need for historic entries there are no reason why you cant delete them at least once a year.

To remove old Scheduler data, log into your administration section and navigate to

Admin > Dashboard > Manage Site Content > Scheduler / Bookings and click “Calendar Maintenance”

You are presented with a simple page with two options.

  1. Delete Bookings for:
    This option allows you to delete all the entries for a specific calendar type. From the dropdown list 
    1. Select the calendar type you are interested in. (Only types with entries will be listed)
    2. Change the starting date if needed (The oldest date is selected by default)
    3. Change the end date if needed (The newest date is selected by default)
    4. Click delete to permanently delete the selected entries.
  2. Export to CSV all bookings for:
    This option allows you to export the selected bookings to a CSV file that can be viewed with Excel
    1. Select the calendar type you are interested in. (Only types with entries will be listed)
    2. Change the starting date if needed (The oldest date is selected by default)
    3. Change the end date if needed (The newest date is selected by default)
    4. Click export to generate a file with the information and a name of your choice. This will not delete any information from your website.
