Introduction to XMS Systems - The Content Manager of Choice

We have made significant changes in the administration section with the result that this "WIP" manual is now nearly completely defunct.

I amwriting the manual as quickly as I can. Unfortunately this is not my strong point...

We have been working in the Web Application Development sector for a number of years now and time and time again the owners / users of a new website complains the learning curve associated with the traditional content management systems are way to steep. and it is difficult to manage their own websites and make even the smallest change in some content.

We even had people insisting that they do not want a website based on the traditional CMS's available due to the fact that they are developed by a team of people not associated with one another other than working on a free application.
The argument, and a valid one, is that any vulnerabilities takes to long to get fixed.

Well this is where XMS Systems comes in.

"We" are a team of just 1 person doing the development based on feedback from our users. Quality control is by means of automated error report being sent to me every time something goes wrong or someone makes a mistake in completing a form somewhere on the website.

Because I developed and maintain XMS Systems on a daily basis I can easily and quickly develop a custom module that fits in with the rest of the website. In some cases, if you had a good idea for an extra module, the development will be free of charge and eventually become part of XMS Systems.

 Implementation

Our approach is totally different from any other CMS.  From the time you ordered your copy of XMS Systems and your payment is cleared your website will be up and running within about an hour.

This allows you to start of with a basic website with all the pages created and menu configured.  All you need to do is add the content using our simple to use editor.

The templates and graphics are done by us with your input. We take an active role in assisting you in populating the website and are at times quite critical but constructive.

It is my believe that you are the only person that knows what you want to say on your website, you had the idea, you did the research, you create the content.

I am a web application developer, that's what I do... I have no knowledge about sheep or the latest trends and believes on the end of the world... I can not create content for your website...

I will assist you and "check up" on you on a daily basis and make correction in the format and or layout.  I will in some cases tell you I think your are making a mess and then suggest changes or even make the changes that I think will work. It is still up to you in the end to tick the "Page is Visible" box.

 Upgrades and new releases

Because I take pride in XMS Systems and because my vision is to make it simple and easy to use I constantly develop and redevelop areas of the Content Management System.
New releases are installed by the user by clicking a button.  No downtime or difficult upgrade procedures to follow. If the upgrade is a major one I will mostly do the upgrade on the users behalf.

This way you are almost guaranteed the your system is secure, stable and easy to use.
